Facts to Help Better Understand

"ARE AMERICAN TEENAGERS JUST LAZY?" In this article it states that since the 70s, the amount of teenagers in the workforce has drastically dropped, and that the main reason behind this is laziness.

"Study: Why Teens Don't Care" This scientific study shows how adults and teenagers use different parts of their brain for emotional responses. That teens have not fully developed the area of their brain that understands concepts such as guilt and empathy completly.

"Why Today’s Teens Are More Depressed Than Ever" This website shows that about 20% of all teenagers have dealt with depression; ages 15-24. Also how suicide is the third-leading cause of death for these adolescents. On top of that, these studies were taken back in 2016, so these statistics most likely have drastically risen.

Whether there is an attitude of carelessness due to mental health, brain development, or just being flat out lazy, I hope something is figured out soon; so my generation can start restoring, at least a little, faith in humanity.
